Fast rise times for these detectors are ensured by the <1 ns rise time at the Type 9326 output, which also provides 0 to -1 V pulse amplitude into a 50 Ω load. The compact size allows placement close to the detector to avoid ground loops and environmental noise interfering with the small signals produced by the detector. Gain of 5, 10 or 20 V/V (non-inverting) is selectable via circuit board jumpers.
To minimize damage to the detector caused by large transients, overload protection is integrated into the input. The outputs are also short-circuit protected. All 9-pin D preamplifier power connectors complying with ORTEC's standard pinout can be used with the standard power cord supplied with the Model 9326 to provide +12 V power.
