The cabinet is made of linear grilles to ensure good ventilation for instruments operated within the cabinet. Adjustment-free module rails exceed the requirements specified in DOE/ER-0457T. These hardened steel rails feature wide openings, while they have a low coefficient of friction due to their highly polished nickel plating. Precision-formed aluminum alloy side panels are painted. Precision-stamped plated steel connector mounting plates ensure safe mounting of the 4002A, 4002D or 4002E power supply.
The ORTEC 4001A chassis distributes all DC and AC power levels of the power supply to the module connectors via a wiring harness. The 4001C chassis distributes power through heavy-duty copper busbars, conductors, and printed wiring boards (PWBs) to ensure uniform voltage output to high-power modules. The 4001C chassis is recommended for use with higher current power supplies (4002D and 4002E).
The 4001A and 4001C NIM chassis can be ordered separately for use with an existing power supply, or together with the corresponding ORTEC NIM chassis power supply. See ordering information for details. The NIM chassis comes with the necessary brackets required for rack mounting.
