Low contrast detail detection phantomIt is a key tool for evaluating the performance of imaging systems, especially in medical imaging, industrial non-destructive testing and other fields. It is mainly used to evaluate the imaging system's ability to resolve low-contrast objects. Its core detection indicators include:

  1. Low contrast resolution: Quantify the system's ability to distinguish small grayscale differences through holes or structures with different contrasts on the phantom. For example, the TO16 phantom contains 405 holes to cover a wide contrast range.

  2. Spatial resolution: The detection system’s resolution of fine structures, such as pore size or the clarity of geometric patterns.

  3. Dynamic range and image consistency: Evaluate the system's response ability from low to high contrast, as well as image uniformity (such as light field/field consistency).

  4. Geometric linearity: Verify the geometric fidelity of scanning or imaging through a circular hole array.

Low contrast detail detection phantom types:

  1.TO series phantom:

-TO16: Contains 405 low-contrast holes, suitable for X-ray radiography systems (such as CR/DR machines), which can quickly and quantitatively detect image quality, and the results can be plotted as a threshold detection index curve.

-TO12: The design is more compact, contains 18 low-contrast holes, supports brightness and contrast adjustment, and is suitable for quickly evaluating low-contrast resolution in a wide range.

  2. Dental special phantom:

-In view of the detection needs of early caries and micro root canals, highly simulated materials and contrast gradient design are used for calibration and quality control of cone beam CT and other equipment.

  3. Universal model:

  - Suitable for digital X-ray imaging systems, angiography machines, etc., to detect dynamic range, image consistency and spatial resolution.

Low contrast detail detection phantomApplication scenarios:

  1. Medical imaging:

-Radiation diagnosis: Evaluate the detection capabilities of DR and CR equipment for low-contrast lesions such as early tumors and pulmonary nodules.

-Dental imaging: Optimize the imaging effect of cone beam CT for dental caries and root canal treatment.

  2.Industrial testing:

-Used for X-ray detection of low-contrast anomalies such as welding defects and internal cracks in composite materials.

  3. Quality control:

-Regularly calibrate imaging equipment to ensure its long-term stability; verify performance recovery after equipment maintenance.
