Detailed introduction

The ISO-CART-II system can be configured with various ORTEC liquid nitrogen-cooled HPGe radiation detectors, with a relative high of more than 200%. The portable HPGe radiation detector is mounted with the selected collimator on a detector/collimator holder or "DCC" which can be easily removed from the cart as a self-contained unit.

If the radiation detector needs to be moved to a location where the cart cannot be pushed, the detector/collimator unit can be detached for portability.

Dewar options
Portable HPGe radiation detector equipped with 3.0L Gamma Gage Dewar. Optionally equipped with a 7.0L Multi-Oriental Dewar (MOD). Compared to the Gamma Gage model with the same hold time, the MOD Dewar can be used in almost all orientations in a smaller size. Typically a high-capacity GEM (type P) or GMX (type N) HPGe radiation detector is chosen; however, there are generally a variety of radiation detectors to choose from. Standard systems can be ordered by model number. We can provide you with configuration recommendations based on your radiation detection limits and counting time requirements, please contact us.

digiDART™ Data Acquisition Hardware
digiDART is an ideal MCA for use with in situ detection systems. It can be used as a stand-alone unit to capture preliminary data in the field, or used in conjunction with a laptop for complete analysis in the field.

To specify an ISO-CART-II system, select the model number for the desired detector size below and replace the letters DDD in the model number with the desired dewar option as follows: 3.0 = 3.0L Gamma Gage Dewar or M7L = 7.0L MOD Dewar

Other configurations are available on request. You may already be using an existing detector. Please contact your ORTEC representative or email your requirements to ortec.info.

System Description: Complete ISO-CART-II system includes: pneumatic tire cart, lead collimator with 5/8-inch copper liner, bracket and mounting plate, storage rack, HPGe detector with SMART-1 technology, bayonet pressure fill adapter, digiDART, ISOPLUS software and laptop computer. The system is integrated, tested and shipped pre-calibrated by the factory.
