Detailed introduction
The ISO-CART-II mobile NDA system is the ideal solution for a variety of on-site gamma ray measurements. The cart hardware transport system is designed to accommodate all of the following components: HPGe detectors, shielding and collimators, multi-channel analyzer systems and laptop computers. ISO-CART-II is compatible with the first generation of ORTEC integrated spectrometry hardware and with the spectrometry hardware used with previous generations of ISO-CART.
The ISO-CART-II system is available "out of the box" and can generate quantitative results quickly and easily. ORTEC Isotope Software can control and process spectra from multiple ISO-CART systems, analyze a single project, or can process results from multiple consecutive views of the same project. The system comes pre-calibrated at the ORTEC factory and is 100% ready to use right out of the box.
With the ISO-CART-II, the entire analysis system can be easily transported to any measurement location. Large wheels facilitate movement on rough surfaces. The detector mount can be positioned at heights between 0.38 meters (15 inches) and 0.91 meters (36 inches). The pivot mechanism orients the detector within an angle range of 0 to 180°. Sturdy adjustable shelf holds laptop for easy access on cart. If the spectrometry system needs to be moved to a location where the cart cannot be pushed, the system can be detached for portability. In infinite plane soil measurements, the collimator can be easily removed.
SHD-1 Shield/Collimator:Standard collimators are 1.6 cm (0.625 in) thick and 20.3 cm (8 in) long. It consists of lead with a 2 mm (0.08 in) copper lining. Complete shield dimensions: 26.42cm (10.4") high x 20cm (8") wide x 77.5cm (30.5") deep. Weight: 16.82 kg (37 lbs). 
SHD-3 Shield/Collimator:The heavy-duty collimator is 4.6 cm (1.8 inches) thick and 20.3 cm (8 inches) long. It is composed of heavy-duty lead and is suitable for high radiation areas. Complete shield dimensions: 25cm (9.75") high x 20cm (8") wide x 77.5cm (30.5") deep. For assembly purposes, the shield is divided into two parts. Weight: 68 kg (150 lbs).
