Detailed introduction
ORTEC's Portable Pump (PPS) provides a convenient mechanical vacuum (Edwards Model RV8) for evacuating many types of detector chambers. This two-stage rotary drive pump is fan-cooled and features forward oil supply, wide oil level tolerance, anti-suckback device and Viton seals. The pump can be configured in two pumping modes and three gas ballast modes to suit most requirements. PPS ships factory assembled and filled with oil - ready for use.
The PPS consists of a rotating, direct-drive mechanical vacuum pump mounted on a cart with an anti-backflow oil collector, thermocouple vacuum gauge, and flexible tubing with appropriate connectors for connection to an Alpha Ensemble, Alpha Duo, and Alpha Aria alpha spectrometer, a 576-VM multiport manifold, an 807 or 808 vacuum chamber, or other vacuum chamber or manifold. Relevant versions are available for operation at 115 V/50 or 60 Hz and 230 V/50 or 60 Hz.
