The module provides a combination of functions to meet various logic requirements, such as gating a multi-channel analyzer and calibrating coincidence timing between two channels using different pulse shaping modes. The auxiliary outputs include a delay period output with a NIM standard fast negative delay mark pulse of width equal to the delay time. Excellent time stability makes it suitable for systems requiring nanosecond time accuracy.
Instruments that generate positive and negative NIM standard logic signals can be used to drive the 416A model. Due to its flexibility in amplitude and width adjustment and its bipolar output connections, the output can be set up to be compatible with virtually all nuclear instruments. It can also be used as a logical interface between ORTEC equipment and other instruments.
