Each channel accepts NIM standard fast negative logic pulses at its input. The leading edge of the input signal will trigger the delay period, which can be adjusted individually for each channel. At the end of the delay period, an output pulse will be generated. The width of the output pulses can be adjusted individually for each channel. Delay ranges from 70 to 1000 ns or 0.4 to 10 μs can be selected individually for each channel via eight jumpers on the printed circuit board. A second set of 8 jumpers independently selects the output pulse width range from 70 to 1000 ns or 0.4 to 10 μs.
Each channel generates two NIM standard, fast negative logic pulse outputs and a positive TTL output. The fast negative output provides fan-out functionality and is particularly useful for driving overlapping compliance modules that require NIM standard fast negative logic levels. They can also be used as delayed inputs for timing instruments, or as gated signals for modules that require a fast negative input. The TTL output is compatible with modules requiring TTL input or NIM standard slow positive logic pulses. The TTL output is ideal for gated ADCs and multi-channel analyzers.
