Material

structureThe material isRSD multifunctional formula. The skeleton has been expanded to include the head and full torso. The RSD "Superman Skeleton" used is multi-energy. RSD materials conform very well to the standards of the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements (ICRU) Report No. 44 (Tissue Substitutes in Radiation Dosimetry and Measurements, 1989).

Organs: The organs of Lawrence Livermore's reality phantom match the fission product phantom, butRSD has modified the internal structure to accommodate additional organs: thyroid, kidneys, stomach, spleen, pancreas, small intestine, and large intestine. The fission product phantom system comes with inert organs. Any or all organs can be replaced with radioactive organs, which can be shipped individually packaged.

The active organ is identical to the Livermore Phantom's liver (evenly dispersed in a molded material, hollow shell, or fixed grid). These are specifically suitable for fission productsMotif, and cannot be compared with LivermoreMotifSwap.

Thyroid modelbodyIt is an integral part of the whole body phantom for nuclear medicine imaging and is available separately (with or without head processing available).

Contains a cervical vertebra, a hollow thyroid capsule with injection and evacuation ports, and a protective cover constructed of tissue-equivalent material。

Isotopes: RSD typically produces active organs containing isotopes to meet user needs. Active capsules can fit into the mesh holes, or empty capsules can be provided for the user to fill. The RSD usually supplies the required isotopes, but the user can provide them if desired. Some isotopes are only produced every other year, so delivery is subject to availability. In some cases, calibration costs from government sources fluctuate significantly.

Isotopes are generally accepted as calibration solutions, dating back toNIST. Organ loading was controlled by micropipetting of calibration solutions. Uranus and plutonic stars can be traced back to NIST by mass. Other isotopes can usually be traced by their activity.

Soft Tissue: There are infinitesimal variations in density and absorption throughout the body. Phantom soft tissues are tightly controlled to have the average density of these tissues.
