Overview

Treatment Chest Z reliably delivers a more even dose every time. It is more conducive to radiation therapy that reshapes the ipsilateral breast and moves the contralateral breast away from the beam. A complete chest Z-cup library is available in a portable caddy that is convenient and organized to fit almost any patient. 

Data on increased cutaneous dose due to ipsilateral cups have been submitted toFDA. These data provide a comparison of the increased skin dose resulting from treatment of breast cancer with the increase in various thermoplastic positioning devices on the market. The skin dose due to the cup material (approximately 0.50 mm thick for small cups and approximately 0.63 mm thick for very large cups) is significantly smaller than that of other positioning devices. The FDA has issued a 510(k) marketing authorization for the treatment of breast cancer.
