CIRS 011A breast phantom, CIRS 011A breast X-ray tissue equivalent phantom contains the goal of testing the threshold of the new generation of mammography cameras. CIRS 011A breast phantom, CIRS 011A breast X-ray tissue equivalent phantom has a thickness of 4.5 cm, simulating average gland tissue composition.
CIRS 011A Breast Phantom, CIRS 011A Breast X-ray Tissue Equivalent Phantom is designed to test the performance of any mammography system. Objects within the phantom simulated calcification, fibrous calcification in the ducts and tumor mass. Test the size of objects within the phantom range, from objects that should be visible on any system to objects that are indistinguishable on a mammography system.
CIRS mammography models are also manufactured in 4cm, 5cm and 6cm thicknesses with various glandular equivalents.
The methods and design of these models were developed by the Medical College of VirginiaDeveloped by Dr. Panos Fatouros and colleagues.
