CIRS 009 Rubik's Cube Phantom, CIRS 009 phantom is suitable for general QA in RT and IMRT applications, where ease of use and quick setup are important. The Cube 20 phantom is manufactured from PlasticWater® DT and faithfully mimics water from 50keV to 25MeV to within 1%. This enables complete QA from CT image acquisition to treatment dose verification. The 20 cm cube size was chosen as a suitable approximation for head/neck and torso treatment. All edges were rounded to avoid CT artifacts.

chamber, diode orMOSFET detectors are easily positioned at the isocenters of the cube, and laser alignment marks on all four sides make it easy to locate the phantom. The position of the detector can be adjusted vertically by 1 mm and horizontally by 5 mm.

Ready-Pac film can be inserted into the CIRS 009 Rubik's Cube phantom. By rotating the cube, movies are easily set in the sagittal, coronal or transverse direction. The stainless steel fiducial points are clearly visible on the CT image and leave small indentations on the film for optimal film planning alignment. On request, a groove can be milled in the interface surface for darkroom loading of 5 x 6" radiographic films.
