Brief description:The American CIRS 016B high contrast resolution phantom uses a 17.5 micron thick gold-nickel alloy rod pattern. Each bar pattern is positioned at 90 degrees so that resolution perpendicular and parallel to the yin*-yin* axis can be evaluated in a single exposure! The CIRS 016B high resolution target has 18 segments ranging from 5 lp to 28 lp/mm. The target is equivalent to 25 micron lead or 2.6 mm aluminum at 20keV.

The Phantom body hasBR12 or BR50/50. It allows for consistent, repeatable positioning of the bar pattern 4.5 cm above the breast support plate and 1 cm of the chest wall, laterally centered (as recommended by the American College of Radiology).
USACIRS 016B High Contrast Resolution Phantom includes a 30x handheld microscope and operating instructions.
